Scientific Advisory Board appointed

The FID Chemie project is supported by an independent scientific advisory board, which provides expertise, feedback and valuable support in building networks. You can find an overview of our advisory board members here. The advisory board held its first meeting on 23 July 26, marking an important milestone for the project’s further development.

During the two-hour online meeting, the FID Chemie project was briefly introduced, after which the floor was quickly opened for discussion. It became clear that the advisory board members are very keen to contribute to the work of the FID Chemie project.

Among the topics discussed were the differentiation of ChemPortal services from existing offerings, the further development of open-source tools, access to databases, current challenges facing the publishing sector in chemistry, and the role of the FID within the chemical community.

This kick-off meeting holds the promise of a fruitful collaboration. The plan is to hold at least two meetings a year to address specific issues and to continuously incorporate feedback from the advisory board.
